The Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) at CEC Jhanjeri is tasked with maintaining a safe and respectful environment within the institution. It receives and addresses complaints of harassment, discrimination, or misconduct, ensuring confidentiality and impartiality throughout the process. The ICC conducts thorough investigations, provides support to complainants, and facilitates fair resolutions.

It organizes awareness programs to prevent harassment and educates the community on reporting procedures. Overall, the ICC plays a vital role in promoting a culture of respect, equity, and accountability, fostering a safe and inclusive environment where all members of the campus community can thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving Complaints: The cell would be responsible for receiving complaints of sexual harassment or discrimination from students, faculty, staff, or any other members of the institution. 
  • Investigation: The committee would conduct thorough and impartial investigations into the complaints received. 
  • Confidentiality: Ensuring the confidentiality of all parties involved in the complaint process is crucial. 
  • Support for Complainants: Providing support and guidance to complainants throughout the investigation process, including informing them of their rights and options for recourse.
  • Fair and Impartial Decisions: Making fair and impartial decisions based on the findings of the investigation. This may involve determining whether harassment or discrimination occurred, and if so, recommending appropriate disciplinary action.
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of all complaints received, investigations conducted, and outcomes reached by the committee.
